Good morning.
I have read through your information. I agree with many of the ideas presented. I understand the need for local decisions to be made by Locals. But I feel some responsibility for not getting involved sooner. I did not realize just how poor our Municipal government was performing. I feel I should have opened my eyes years ago.
I don’t feel the average elected official, has the capacity to understand how their involvement and voice can change a municipality. They don’t realize how powerful their voice can be, so they give the decision-making opportunity’s away. Its like they all want is to follow someone or some group, and not lead. The seem to have a herd or pack mentality and are afraid to stand out alone on any subject. 0 Moral compass. They all want to be in the pack, with no one actually leading. Ive wondered why does someone need a licence to drive a taxicab, or flay a plane but need to meet any competency level to run a township?? We are putting incompetent people in positions and expecting them to perform. They simply are incapable of performing a task, they have no training for. So, they look for guidance. I feel this is the reason so many feel disconnected to there Counsil. If that makes sense!
Therefore, the groups, are actually running the Township. I appreciate your work here, but I don’t feel at this time I need to follow anyone, be influenced by anyone to find my path forward here.
I agree my Oath, should be to the people of our community and no one else.
I appreciate you reaching out, I do.
All the best!
