Bank of Canada Cuts Prime Rate
A friend of ours, a very successful financial planner, once told me “Oh, I don’t think politics has any influence on the Bank of Canada.” Took me two weeks to get over the headaches from falling on the floor.
You can see a report on this by Epoch Times here. We haven’t really watched the MSM for other reports but it looks political to me. We’re no financial experts but we’re pretty sure our government has no idea what to do with the financial mess they’re facing, so they toss out a rate cut to make themselves look good.
Our understanding is the tariffs, while good for the US and good for economies in general, will be short-term devastating to many Canadian businesses, especially auto and other manufacturing. (Another friend of ours said a 25% tariff on the auto industry would end their business overnight).
If I were Carney, I’d call an election immediately, hand the reigns to the Conservatives, then watch them implode under tariffs. Sounds like a PET tactic.

Coalition of Independents
Ever feel like your politicians don’t represent you? Ever feel like they DO represent you?
Well the Party System is largely to blame for those feelings. There is no such thing as independent thinking/voting under the party system we have at the Federal and Provincial levels. Lots of smart people are calling for the end of the party system and a return to independents.
